Nutella Mug Cake

Do you ever get in the mood for a really chocolate-y desert but you’re too lazy to make a cake or you simply don’t want to make a big cake and be the only person to eat it .. Mug Cakes are the solution for that!

This mug cake is easy to cook and it doesn’t take more than 5 minutes to make, also most of the ingredients are always available at your home.

I also uploaded a video of me making this recipe so check it out if you want to.

The things you will need:

  • Mug
  • Whisker
  • Table spoon

The ingredients are:

  • Half an egg (i added some vanilla to that)
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 generous tbsp of milk
  • 1 and 1/2 tbsp of Nutella
  • 1 generous tbsp of self-raising flour.
  • 1 tbsp of sugar .. i choose brown sugar because it’s just better for baking.
  • 1 tbsp of coco powder.
  • Some chocolate chips
  • A scoop of vanilla ice-cream (optional)

First of all, you need to combine the oil, milk, Nutella and half an egg in your mug and mix it throughly .. If you’re wondering on how to “get” half an egg you just simply need to break one egg and mix it then pour half of the mixture in your mug.

Then you add the dry ingredients and mix .. just make sure there no clumps in the mixture.

After that you can add as much as you want of the chocolate chips and give it one last stir.

Now to bake this cake you can either microwave it or put it in the oven. I did use the microwave and i microwaved it for 10 seconds and then checked and i did this whole process for about 45 seconds because you’re not supposed to over cook it if you want it all moist and gooey. You can also top it off with a scoop of an ice-cream or whip-cream, just follow your instincts on that one.

AND TAAAAADAAAA you got your very own delicious Nutella Mug cake

If you’re wondering from where i got the mug then click here. i also got this recipe from this youtube video so check it out if you want to know more.

I hope that you enjoy your Nutella mug cake if you’re making one.
